What is CuRAS?
Advanced Q Switch laser system, CuRAS provides the optimal performance for the treatment of tattoos, melasma, non-ablative resurfacing and pigmented lesions. Furthermore, its dual wavelengths, 1064/532nm with 3 different hand pieces allow physicians to select a wide range of applications to each of your patient’s need increasing the effectiveness of the treatment.
Treatment Indications
Tattoo Removal
Pigmented Lesions
Onychomycosis
Melasma
Soft Peeling
Active Acne
Skin Rejuvenation
The Gold Standard Laser for Melasma
In addition, the melasma recurs after the treatment is stopped. The advanced Q switch Nd Yag laser is inherently different from the previous generation of Q switch laser. With an improved laser system to offer an optimal performance of the laser and various laser modes to treat post-inflammatory melasma more effectively.
Benefits
As an advanced Q-switched Nd:YAG laser system, CuRAS provides optimal performance for the treatment of tattoos, melasma, non-ablative resurfacing and pigmented lesions. The dual 1064/532nm wavelengths with different handpieces enable practitioners to select a wide range of applications to suit the needs of each patient, thereby increasing treatment efficacy.
Tattoo Removal
The CuRAS Laser Treatment is also a Fast and effective tattoo removal treatment. Take back control and rediscover your natural skin with our laser tattoo removal.
Empower yourself to unlock your natural beauty.
Laser tattoo removal is a non-invasive process that uses high-intensity laser wavelengths to break down the tattoo pigment. Black is the easiest tattoo colour to treat, but other pigments can also be treated. We use CuRAS ND-YAG Q-switch laser for tattoo removal, which is effective at treating red, black, yellow, pink, purple and oxidised dark blue pigment.
Stable And Precised
Its auto-calibration function guarantees precise and stable energy with a uniform beam profile irregardless if the laser is used consistently for the whole day. (some laser systems has inconsistent laser output after prolonged use) A real-time monitoring system allows our doctors to check the consistent delivery of laser.
Our Doctors
Our medical team of doctors is directed by Dr Gerald Tan who graduated with double degree in M.B.,B.S. from the National University of Singapore (Batch 1993). He is a MOH accredited Family Physician with special interest in Regenerative Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine.
In the area of Aesthetic Medicine, he has over 12 year's experience (since 2007) with the use of filler injections and various face lift procedures. His expertise also covers various Laser treatments for both face pigmentation, scars, pores, acne and body sculpting. He is also well versed with the Fotona laser snore reduction and eyebag removal treatments.
What is Curas Advanced Nano Lasers used For
1064 wavelengths allow the removal of black and dark blue tattoo ink effectively, especially with a stable and more efficient laser top-hat beam profile. 532 wavelengths allow red tattoo removal with minimal blistering compared to conventional nd: YAG lasers.
Curas laser and its even hat shape beam profile are effective to treat most pigmented lesions from superficial pigmented lesions such as freckles, lentigo, and other vascular lesions like age spots with a low incidence of PIH. the treatment also provides the optimal performance for the treatment of tattoo ink removal, melasma, vascular lesions, skin rejuvenation, non-ablative resurfacing and pigmented lesions. This is because of the stable top-hat laser energy profile, which is precise. Therefore lower energies are used to treat these lesions compared to traditional nd:YAG lasers. The unique features of this high-quality beam allow the laser to be used safely on all skin types.
Curas is currently one of the rare advanced Q switch Nd YAG laser system that can offer various modes to address Melasma and pigmented dermal lesions. Melasma mode (at 100 ns pulse duration) has a stronger photothermal effect which is more efficient to clear larger, deeper pigmented lesions. (Photothermal effect has been shown in clinical review papers to have a better pigment clearance effect than photoacoustic effects in pico laser, Melasma mode can help to stimulate collagen in the deep dermis layer and also add the additional photothermal resolution of melasma. These modes do not exist in previous conventional Q switch machines but only in Curas
The carbon cream is applied onto the superficial skin and skin pores and the Curas laser vaporizes the carbon, it has a skin peeling, skin rejuvenation and pore tightening effect.
The strength of the CURAS advanced laser in various laser modes that allow the delivery of laser pulses at different pulse duration, therefore targeting different depths of the skin. For example, genesis mode targets deep dermis while melasma mode and q switch mode target more superficial skin. The even and adequate delivery of well-distributed laser pulses will allow a more thorough skin rejuvenation and pore reduction for patients.
Solar related lentigines or lentigo respond very well to 532 wavelengths of advanced q switched laser. Most such superficial pigments should completely clear in 2-3 sessions. Because of the high-quality beam and more efficient use of laser energy pulses, these lesions can be cleared at significantly lower energies compared to conventional q switch lasers and even pico lasers. What that means is a significantly lower risk of PIH, which is a common risk for pico lasers.
Conventional q switch lasers and pico lasers have limited success in treating PIH. That is photoacoustic power of these laser systems has not been particularly successful in reaching and dispersing PIH, which are larger and deeper pigment lesion. In addition, excessive photoacoustic power can itself provoke more PIH to occur. Therefore, at longer pulse durations, both the genesis mode and melasma mode, which greater photothermal effective but still within the TRT (thermal relaxation time) of the dermis, can cause more PIH clearance.
